Carrie Gartner

Executive Vice Chancellor of Health Affairs Harold Williamson Jr. announced that Gartner will join the University of Missouri Health System as director of communications and public relations. Gartner has served as an adjunct faculty member at Stephens College. She received a Ph.D. in communications from the University of Utah.

 

Kris Bezenek

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce presented Bezenek with the 2014 Emerging Professional of the Year award. The recipient of the award represents a member of the Columbia business community who has shown leadership, community involvement and a habit of helping others.

 

Boone County National Bank

BCNB announced six employee promotions recently. Brenda Sims and Andrew Scavone of the bank’s downtown branch were promoted from teller I to teller II. Jillan Goehl and Sherry Tolson of the downtown branch and Julie Metcalf of the bank’s Hallsville branch were promoted to senior teller. Joann Goa of the Columbia Mall branch was promoted to financial associate.

 

Teresa Snow

The MU Health System announced that Snow will join the health system as the corporate director of strategic communications and media relations. Snow previously worked as a news anchor and reporter for KRCG-TV in Jefferson City. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida State University.

 

Melissa Randol

The Missouri School Boards’ Association Board of Directors unanimously elected Randol to be its executive director effective July 1, 2015. Randol currently works as MSBA’s deputy executive director and has been working for MSBA for 20 years. Randol will succeed Dr. Carter Ward, who will retire in 2015.

 

Landmark Bank

Landmark Bank has promoted Chelsea Kestermeier, Kelsey Thall and Kari Lampe to branch managers of their respective branches. Kestermeier will oversee the bank’s Stadium Boulevard location, Thall will take over the Route B branch, and Lampe will be managing the bank’s Cherry Hill location.

 

Chormaic Sullivan

Sullivan, a 2014 graduate of Rock Bridge High School, won first place in the SkillsUSA Culinary Arts national competition. Sullivan is the fourth Missouri student to win the culinary arts competition, and he will be rewarded with a full four-year scholarship to a top culinary school.

 

Frederick Fraunfelder

The MU School of Medicine named Fraunfelder as the chair of its Department of Ophthalmology. Fraunfelder received his degrees from the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He specializes in corneal disease, laser eye surgery and cancers of the eye.

 

Providence Bank

Thomas Hager, Travis McGee and Dianne Lynch have been appointed to the Providence Bank Board of Directors. Hager serves as the bank’s executive vice president, chief operating officer, chief lending officer and St. Louis regional president; McGee is the president and owner of Certified Realty and the owner of THM Investments; and Lynch is the president of Stephens College.

 

B.J. Schneiders

Schneiders recently completed the water damage restoration technician course in St. Louis, which gives students the background to understand the procedures involved with water damage. Schneiders is a restoration technician at AERODRY disaster restoration.

 

Westminster College

Two Westminster students, Kristin Fisher and Dakota Wilson­, were awarded first place honors in the biology/biochemistry section of the Missouri Academy of Science competition. Fisher is a senior from Fulton, Missouri, and Wilson is a junior from Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Callaway Bank

Callaway Bank has promoted Craig Davenport to computer information systems manager, where he will be in charge of the bank’s technology infrastructure. Callaway Bank also hired Jim McGuire as its manager of the Callaway Mortgage Group. McGuire will be responsible for adding lenders and expanding the group into new markets.
