Sarah Shorthose knows a thing or two about creating a picture-perfect moment, but her own story has been anything but predictable.
Sarah, owner of Sarah Jane Photography, has spent more than 15 years building a successful portrait business, navigating industry changes, a cross-state move, and a fresh start in Columbia. Today, she combines creativity, business strategy, and community connection to help clients tell their stories.
She is passionate about supporting local businesses and nonprofits through mentorship, sponsorships, and donated photography services, and was recently named the Missouri Women’s Business Center Volunteer of the Year for her commitment to giving back.
When she’s not capturing memories or building businesses, Sarah is exploring the stories behind change through her new podcast and showing her two daughters that you can rewrite your story at any time.
